The Mughals of Nawakille ( Squash Champions of the world)
If one were to call a enclosed box of not more than 60 sq metres with vague lines drawn across them a kingdom , and the squash racquets the swords to win over the kingdom then surely the khans would be the kingdom's knights in shining armour.
The dynasty of champions originated from a little village, Nawakille, near Peshawar. Hashim, Azam, Roshan, Moibullah (Senior), Jahangir and yes, the last Emperor, Jansher.
The Mughals of Nawakille have shared between themselves lots of precious silver.Since 1950, they have won 29 British Opens. When the World Open was initiated in 1975, they were quick to engrave their name on this premier event. Jahangir won six, Jansher a record eight.
Yesterday was my first day trying to comprehend the mystery of this above mentioned kingdom with its vague lines and claustrophobic court.I though am a mere peasant writing this ode to the emperors who once ruled this place.
